A reminder that we will host a 51st House District Town Hall on Sequestration at 7:30pm this Tuesday evening, Aug. 27, at Lake Ridge Baptist Church, 12450 Clipper Drive in Woodbridge.
Also in attendance will be Virginia Secretary of Veteran Affairs Terrie Suit and Sen. Bryce Reeves. Both serve with me on the Virginia Commission on Military Installations and Defense Activities (COMIDA) that is working on ways to mitigate the effects of Sequestration and furloughs on DoD personnel, to include possible Reductions in Force (RIFs) in the future.
The first 30 minutes of the meeting will focus on the direction of COMIDA. Our remaining time will be devoted to testimony, input, and questions from attendees who have been adversely impacted by DoD Sequestration and its furlough program. Your participation will help to shape the recommendations of the Commission and assist in formulating realistic proposals.
