Marine Band Drum Major On Inaugural Preparations

MGySgt William Browne describes how the "The President's Own" prepares for the inaugural parade.

As MGySgt William Browne prepares to lead The United States Marine Band in the inaugural parade Monday, he recalled the first time he had the honor.

"You're now the drum major of the U.S. Marine Band ... and it's my responsibility to lead the band down Pennsylvania Avenue and review for the President of the United States with the Commandant of the Marine Corps in attendance," Brown said.  "It was a little bit stressful."

Browne explains on the attached video the preparations for and traditions of one of the band's important responsibilities — the inaugural parade.
