Learn more about community engagement techniques.

From Prince William County Government:

The Prince William Neighborhood Conference is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 25, 2012, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Development Services, 5 County Complex Court in Woodbridge. The event, “Bringing Innovation to the Places We Live,” focuses on community engagement techniques and other topics of current interest. Special instruction will be offered specifically for residents interested in more effective participation in homeowner and condominium associations (HOAs and COAs).

Registration opens Jan. 25, 2012. Pay by Feb. 21 for a reduced fee of $25.  The fee includes admission, access to all session materials, handouts, a continental breakfast, refreshments, and lunch.  Registrants after Feb. 21 and walk-ins will be charged $35. The sessions at the 2012 Neighborhood Conference offer insight and action-options to citizens facing an array of neighborhood quality of life challenges and opportunities. Classes are separated into three “curriculum tracks.” For a full list of sessions, visit www.pwcgov.org/neighborhoods. A new session at this year’s conference offers an introduction to the “Community Micro-Enterprising” movement now gaining steam in neighborhoods across the United States. Contact the Neighborhood Services Division at 703-792-7018 or email nsd@pwcgov.org for more information.
