Prince William County Elections 2011: Constitutional Officers

No competition for sheriff or county's chief prosecutor.

Both of Prince William County's constitutional officers could have easy re-election bids because of the lack of any competition.

Commonwealth's Attorney Paul Ebert (D) has been the county's chief prosecutor since 1968. No one who serves now has been in the post longer. During his service he has won some important awards, such as the Robert F. Horan Award as Outstanding Virginia Prosecutor in 1997 and in 2004 and the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Virginia Homicide Investigator's Association in 2003.

Sheriff Glendell Hill (R) has held the position since 2004. He is also the former superintendent of the Prince William-Manassas Regional Adult Detention Center.
