Revenue Forceast and 2012 Proposed Budget to be Presented at Board Meeting

The Board of County Supervisors will meet this afternoon to hear presentations on the revenue forecast of the county and the proposed 2012 fiscal year budget. Tuesday's proposal begins a longer process to approve the budget. Follow Patch this afternoon to keep up with the presentation.

The schedule for approving the 2012 budget is as follows (courtesy of Prince William County Government):

• Feb. 15, 2011 (Tue.) The County Executive’s proposed FY2012 Budget is presented to the Board of County Supervisors
• Feb. 19, 2011 (Sat.) Community Meeting, McCoart Building - 9 a.m. This meeting will include a presentation on the Proposed FY 12 Budget only. No formal comments during this meeting. Formal comments will be addressed during the public hearings.
• Mar. 1, 2011 (Tue.) Board of County Supervisors authorize Tax Rate
• Mar. 8, 2011 (Tue.) Board of County Supervisors Budget Worksession: McCoart Building - 7 p.m.
• Mar. 22, 2011 (Tue.) Additional Budget Worksession (if needed)
• Apr. 4, 2011 (Mon.) Public Hearing; McCoart Building - 7:30 p.m.
• Apr. 6, 2011 (Wed) Public Hearing (Cont.); McCoart Building - 7:30 p.m.
• Apr. 12, 2011 (Tue.) Board Budget Recap: McCoart Building - 2 p.m.
