Four Busses in Snowy Commute Accidents Wednesday

Prince William County busses meet rough roads on the way to school.

Four Prince William County School busses were involved in wrecks Wednesday morning — three carrying students to school, according to NBC4.

The snow started falling as Prince William County Schools students climbed on busses Wednesday morning. Roads to many neighborhood schools were all-but covered by the time school bells rang.

NBC4 reports that no one was injured in the four bus accidents and each was caused by another driver striking the school bus.

The Woodbridge/Dale City area was particularly treacherous for many drivers Wednesday. Police closed busy Minniville Road due to icy conditions. The Cardinal Drive bridge over I-95 was closed after a wreck and lanes on Prince William County Parkway were also blocked due to a crash in the snow.

Schools in nearby Stafford County were on a two-hour delay Wednesday morning.
