The Gar-Field swim team is heading into winter break with a 2-2 record
thanks to a pair of wins on Friday.  Both the men and women’s teams
defeated Potomac and Freedom high schools.  There were a number of great swims for the Indians.  On the men’s side the standout swims came from senior Klint Edgemon and freshman Lawson Long who both dropped over 1 seconds in the 500 free.  In the 100 backstroke sophomore Ryan Grant, freshman Liam Brennan and senior Joe Yarrington took 1, 2 and 3
respectively.  In the 50 free a trio of seniors, Julius Brown, Joe Yarrington and Zachary Horrocks all had best times.

WSHS Swim Recap

By Assistant Coach Randy Cooper

Woodbridge Swimming continued it's domination of the Chinn Aquatic
Center with the defeat of the Forest Park Bruins Friday December 16,
2011. Viking faithful continued their command over the spectator area as
parents, fans, and members of the student body filled half over half of
the seats. The Viking coaching staff continued to emphasize teamwork
and the swimmers responded in kind. Both Men & Women showed
determination in capturing not only first place finishes, but battling
for second and third as well. Swimmers Randolph Westling, Stefan
Meruvia, Madison West, Jade Woll (C), Ian Campbell, Nicolas Barefoot,
Will Freeman (C), and Kelsey Lisbon were among those who secured the
points to secure the Woodbridge victory.
