Woodbridge Girls Finish Third in 4X400 Relay at New Balance Indoor Nationals

All-Americans lead 4x400 relay to one second off the state's record.

Some of Prince William County Schools' top athletes at Woodbridge High shined last weekend at the New Blanace Indoor Nationals in New York City.

All-Americans Kady Badham, Olivia Coopwood, Jewel Christian, and Farrah Suber placed third in the nation in the 4x400 relay with a time of 3:47, according to a release.

That time is the second fastest in Virginia history — only a second off the first place.

The Woodbridge High School girls also took 8th place in the 4x200 relay.

Other noteable performances:

  • Woodbridge's Greg Henderson was also top 20 in the nation, placing 17th with a blazing 22.2 second 200. 
  • Mustaqueem Williams from Forest Park High School placed third at the same meet in the boys 60-meter dash. He holds the Virginia state championship title for the boys 55-meter dash.
