Woodbridge High Students Place in Arts Contest

Woodbridge students take top honors in poetry contest

The annual "Off the Wall" arts festival held at the Candy Factory in Manassas yielded some Woodbridge student awards.

In the poetry contest, Woodbridge Senior High School student Brittany Crow claimed first place with her poem "Artist." Fellow Viking Phebe Ciemny took third place with her work "Poetry Reading." 

Honorable mention awards went to Kaderdra Holmes, Teja Dupree, and Mary DesJardin, all from Woodbridge High School. Artists were instructed to incorporate the phrase, “Engaged in Art,” into their poetry submissions.

In the visual arts contest, WSHS student Victoria Lafranchise earned an honorable mention with her work “Monster Machine."
