Last weekend's Woodbridge Viking Invitational (WVI) marching band competition was a success, featuring 15 bands from throughout Central and Northern Virginia.
As host, Woodbridge Senior High School performed its show, "Music for a Darkened Theatre," as an exhibition. The featured exhibition marching band was the Marching Captains of Christopher Newport University in Newport News, Va. Several members of the Marching Captains -- whose show featured music from the Harry Potter movies -- are alumni of Woodbridge Senior High School.
There were five categories, or classes, in which the marching bands competed.
