RLCDC 9th Annual Charity Golf Classic

Restoring Lives Charity Golf Classic
Benefits Virginia Wounded Warrior Program

(April 18, 2012) – Restoring Lives Community
Development Corporation (RLCDC) is hosting its 9th Annual Charity Golf Classic, at Old Hickory Golf Club, 11921 Chanceford Drive, Woodbridge, on Friday, April 20, 2012.   Each year, the classic raises money for its college scholarship fund and organizations that impact the
lives of the citizens of Prince William County. Over 100 golfers are expected to participate.

This year, the funds raised from the golf classic will be used to provide college scholarships for five graduating high school seniors, and shared with the Virginia Wounded Warrior Program.  Since its inception in 2001, the RLCDC has awarded over $50,000.00 in college scholarships.  The awards are based on academic excellence and community service. The Virginia Wounded Warrior Program is dedicated to helping our veterans to build resilience and cope with the challenges posed from a stress-related injury or traumatic brain injury.  The focus of the Virginia Wounded Warrior Program is to help veterans feel like themselves again and to assist them and their families with moving forward with their lives.
