P-Nats Extend Offer to Footballer McNabb

Could a Redskin become a P-Nat?

Update: Potomac Nationals' General Manager Josh Olerud said that the offer extended to McNabb was to workout with the team. "We thought if he has any interest we would be supportive and let him work out," said Olerud in response to McNabb's statement. 

Olerud said there is no word yet from McNabb's people.

According to OurSportsCentral.com, a Washington, D.C.-area athlete may be considering a switch to local baseball team. 

In an Associated Press report published on Thursday, Redskins quarterback Donovan McNabb said that he would consider playing for the Nationals. The AP also said that McNabb made the "joking" comment while at the opening of a local health center where he discussed the ongoing NFL lockout.

While the AP report makes no distinction between the Potomac or Washington Nationals, OurSportsCentral.com said that our very own have extended an offer to the football player. 

Details are scarce on the deal, but updates will be posted on the P-Nats' Facebook page and website, said OurSportsCentral.com.
