WLL Big League Team Represents VA in Regional Tournament

Woodbridge finished their season with a record of 18-4.

The Woodbridge Little League Big League Team (ages 16-18), District 9 Champions and repeat State Champions, have returned from the Southeast Regional Tournament in Ft. Lauderdale, FL  as regional finalists.  The team went 1-1 in pool play, defeating the Florida State Champions 7-5, and advancing to the semi-finals where they defeated the Florida host team 14-3. 

They brought home second place honors after falling to South Carolina, three-time regional champs, in a fierce battle which ended with a score of 4-2.  The Virginia Champs led the game until the 6th inning.

Woodbridge finished their season with a record of 18-4, outscoring their opponents 209-65 and recording eight shutouts. The young men on this team played against the Big League State Champions of the Southeast Region and brought home medals and a plaque for which they were honored by Woodbridge Little League.
