Woodbridge High Sweeps Golf Tournament

Vikings' Kim Mitchell Placed First in the Tournament.

Woodbridge, Gar-Field and Forest Park high schools faced off yesterday for a golf tournament at Old Hickory Golf Course.

The teams' results, after playing on the par 36 white golf tees, were pretty close between Woodbridge and Forest Park. Each school's team scored an overall result of 185 and 177, respectively. Gar-Field did not have enough golfers for a team, resulting in a score of zero.

Woodbridge's Kim Mitchell took top rank in the tournament yesterday, by shooting a 37. Austin Hurlbrink, also from Woodbridge's team, scored second place by serving up a 43.

Bryant Prybus, Andrew Jones and Chris Colletti of Forest Park combined with George Watkins of Gar-Field met in a four-way tie with an overall score of 44.

Woodbridge and Gar-Field will participate in another golf tournament on Sept. 16 against Potomac High School.
