Woodbridge Weather: Heat Advisory Continues into Weekend

The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory until 9 p.m. Saturday for Prince William County. Sunday's temperatures are expected to reach 101.

The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory until 9 p.m. Saturday for Prince William County. 

Temperatures are expected to reach 100 degrees with lows being in the 70s overnight. A chance of showers and thunderstorms is expected mainly in the evening hours, according to the WeatherBug network. Some thunderstorms may be severe; although, not as severe as .

Temperatures of up to 101 degrees can be expected for Sunday as well. Temperatures will drop back to 96 Monday and 92 Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service extended forecast.

Saturday and Sunday will be sunny and mostly clear. The humidity will hover around 50 percent during the day, rising slightly overnight through Monday.
