Woodbridge Weather: Wednesday Wildfire Threat

Low fuel moistures and low relative humidity are the recipe for wildfires.

The National Weather Service is advising of an enhanced wildfire threat Wednesday afternoon and early evening for Woodbridge, Dale City, Lake Ridge and other areas of Prince William County due to low fuel moistures and low relative humidity.

NWS forecasts that a northwest wind will gust between 20 and 25 miles per hour Wednesday.

"The relative humidity will drecase to around 30 percent this afternoon and fuel moisture will remain low due to little rainfall over the last several days," said NWS. Winds are expected to diminish at sunset.
