Sexual Assault Resource to Join ACTS

The merger will offer a full spectrum of resources to the community.

The Sexual Assault Victims Advocacy Service (SAVAS) of Prince William will become a program under the Action in Community Through Service (ACTS) umbrella on July 1, ACTS announced on Friday.

SAVAS has been serving the Prince William Area community since 1983 providing assistance and support to victims of sexual assault and their families.

“SAVAS and the ACTS /Turning Points Domestic Violence Program have been working closely together in state and local coalitions for many years. This merger will maximize the community's resources while offering a full spectrum of services to victims of violence,” reads a press release from ACTS.
