Halloween in Woodbridge: Trick-or-Treating, Ghostly Tours, Parties

Get out this weekend in Woodbridge.

Get ready for a weekend of spooky fun in Woodbridge and Occoquan!  

Thursday: 

Come to the free Spooktacular Trick-or-Treat at Stonebridge at Potomac Town Center at 5 p.m. Trick-or-treat at participating shops. Event also includes face painting, a rubber ducky game at the fountain, and Nickelodeon Halloween shows on the jumbotron. The event wraps up with a showing of "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown" at 7 p.m. on the jumbotron.

Make a Ghost Windsock at a family craft night at Potomac Community Library at 7 p.m. The free craft session helps you make a spooky spirit out of tissue paper. 

Friday: 

Tour Rippon Lodge by candlelight. Meet historical characters and hear their stories. Tours every half hour from 6 p.m. through 8:30 p.m. Call 703-499-9812 to reserve a spot. $10 per person.

Saturday: 

Occoquan business owners are sponsoring a Halloween Parade at 10:30 a.m. in town. The best children and adult costumes will win prizes. The parade will begin under the Route 123 bridge and continue along Mill Street to the cul-de-sac at the end. Anyone in costume is welcome in the parade. Parade participants should gather at the parking lot under the bridge no later than 10:30 a.m. Participation is free. 

Children can learn about the history of Halloween with an All Hallow's Eve party at Rippon Lodge at 11 a.m. Tour the scarecrow display, play old-fashioned games, and enjoy classic snacks. Children encouraged to come in costume. $5 per child, children six and younger free. 

Join a Halloween party and costume parade at Potomac Community Library at 11 a.m. Games, crafts, snacks. Pick up free tickets in advance. Limited to 50 children ages 2 and older. 

The American Legion Post 364 at 3640 Friendly Post Lane is holding a Children's Halloween Party with games, crafts, and and food at 11 a.m.. Free. For children up to 12 years old. 

Trick-or-treat in Dillingham Square for free from noon to 2 p.m., rain or shine. Visit dillinghamsquare.com for more information. 

Pam the Kindersinger brings Halloween fun to Chinn Park Regional Library at 2 p.m. Singing, dancing, puppetry, and humor. Free for the entire family.

Jack is Back! Skate at the Prince William Ice Center at 6:30 p.m. and enjoy $1 off admission. Giveaways and more. 

Lets Do the Time Warp. It takes a special event to get us outdoors near midnight at the end of October. Rocky? That’d do it. Stonebridge at Potomac Town Center is putting its jumbo screen to good use this weekend with a late-night screening of “The Rocky Horror Picture Show,” a cult-classic musical starring Tim Curry and Susan Sarandon. Free. 11:30 p.m. Saturday, 15151 Potomac Town Place, Woodbridge.

“Wheel. Of. Fortune.” The Wheelmobile will be pulling into Woodbridge this weekend. The popular game show is looking for D.C.-area contestants. Includes souvenir prizes for all participants. Free. 1-5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, 15151 Potomac Town Place, Woodbridge.

Two Times the Dracula. The main vampire who draws the crowds this time of year will be drawing twice as many this weekend at the Hylton Performing Arts Center. Prince William Little Theatre’s “Dracula” will hold three performances this weekend, beginning Friday. Also this weekend, The Manassas Ballet Theatre performs “Dracula” on Saturday and Sunday. PWLT’s Dracula: $15 (discounts for children, seniors). MBT’s Dracula: from $25. Dates and times vary. Hylton Performing Arts Center, 10960 George Mason Circle, Manassas.

Scream … Surprise! Some of Disney’s most popular characters hit the ice at the Patriot Center all weekend for Disney on Ice: Let’s Celebrate. There will be performances of holiday themes, including a Halloween Haunt by the Disney villains, along with a birthday party with the Mad Hatter and more. From $20. Times vary. Thru Sunday. Patriot Center, 4400 University Drive, Fairfax.

Back So Soon? Yes. Summer camp returns as an extra Halloween treat. The Workhouse Arts Center hosts a Halloween Mini Camp this weekend, with costume and cooking lessons, and more. For ages 6-10. $145. Register. 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Workhouse Arts Center, 9601 Ox Road, Lorton.

Prince William Ice Center holds an open skate from 12:10 p.m. to 2:10 p.m. on Saturdays.
