Long Lines, Strong Cravings at Bobby's Burger Palace Opening

The celebrity chef was there in person for the public opening.

By the time the doors of Bobby's Burger Palace opened at noon on Wednesday, a couple hundred people were in line outside. "I got here at 8 a.m. this morning because I wanted to be first in line," Rebecca Voss said, holding a cookbook for celebrity chef Bobby Flay to sign. "My husband is a big Bobby Flay fan. He's my husband's favorite chef."  "I got there at 10, and she was ready to fight," Joyce Entremont said, laughing. Several in line wanted to crunchify their burgers -- to order the burger with potato chips on top.  "We haven't seen the menu, but we're definitely going to crunchify it." Three Charged in Narcotics Investigation in Woodbridge

Prince William County Police charge three with possession with intent to distribute a schedule I or II narcotic.

Prince William County Police have charged three people in an investigation involving distribution of prescription medications, according to police spokesman Officer Jonathan Perok.  Lisa Marie Parker, 28, of Bayside Avenue, Richard Glenn Elmore, 32, of the same address, and Cheryl Ann Mullins, 51, are each charged with possession with intent to distribute a schedule I or II narcotic.  Detectives from the Street Crimes Unit ended the narcotics investigation on April 16 with the arrests. Police: Foot Patrol Spots Drug Transaction

Dale City resident charged with possession with intent to distribute synthetic cannabinoids.

Officers on a foot patrol charged a local man after witnessing a drug transaction at a Dale City home, Prince William County Police said.  Isiah Gemale Washington, 23, of Meadowbrook Drive in Dale City, is charged with possession with intent to distribute synthetic cannabinoids.  Police spokesman Officer Jonathan Perok said that officers were on a "proactive foot patrol" at 2:11 a.m. April 18, when they saw the transaction.  "Officers made contact and identified the accused," Perok said in a press release. "During the course of the investigation, synthetic marijuana was recovered." Police Officers Flatten Tire to Stop Vehicle of Fleeing Suspect

Prince William County Police said the driver was driving while under the influence of drugs.

Officers had to take extreme measures to stop a driver allegedly high on drugs who ignored police emergency equipment, Prince William County Police said.  Wayne Edward Byrne, 51, of Joplin Road in Triangle, is charged with driving under the influence of drugs, eluding, possession of a schedule I or II narcotic and distribution of marijuana.  Police spokesman Officer Jonathan Perok said that the officer signaled Byrne to stop Friday at 10:13 p.m., while they were near Oak Farm Drive and Maple Ridge Drive. "The driver, later identified as the accused, ignored the officer’s emergency equipment and continued to the area of Jacks Dr and Rush Dr," Perok said in a press release." Monster storm flattened Oklahoma City suburb of Moore Monday afternoon, where at least 51 are reported dead.

Dozens of people—including schoolchildren—were killed when a massive tornado Monday afternoon ripped through the town of Moore, Okla., a suburb of Oklahoma City, according to news reports. The tornado, initially classified as an EF-4, means wind speeds up to 200 miles per hour whipped through the town of about 56,000, flattening much in its path. Kathleen Pietrewicz, the founder of Haunted Occoquan, was recently featured in a My Ghost Story episode on the Biography Channel.

Local paranormal investigator and ghost tour leader Kathleen "Kay" Pietrewicz was recently featured in a My Ghost Story episode on the Biography Channel. Pietrewicz shares several ghostly encounters at the nearby Weems-Botts Museum in Dumfries. "Where the museum is located is basically a mass grave," Pietrewicz said in the interview. Bobby Flay to Open Bobby's Burger Palace to Public at Noon Today

The celebrity chef will be there in person when the restaurant opens.

Celebrity chef Bobby Flay will open Bobby's Burger Palace at Potomac Mills Mall today, according to Bobby's Burger Palace spokesperson Marcus Braham. Flay will stay for the public opening at noon today, Braham added.  “Bobby’s Burger Palace offers 10 signature burgers, made with Certified Angus Beef, ground turkey or chicken breast, and a wide variety of sides including beer battered onion rings, milkshakes and more,” mall management wrote in a press release. Bobby's Burger Palace was originally set to open at Potomac Mills Mall in late 2012. It is the third restaurant to open in the Potomac Mills Mall parking lot. The Cheesecake Factory opened late last year and Bahama Breeze opened in January.  Other recent business stories:
