Eight-run second inning breaks game open for Potomac

The Potomac Nationals have been seeking consistent offense and reliable defense all season long. For at least one series, they unleashed just those qualities, punctuated by a 12-3 win over the Wilmington Blue Rocks Tuesday night at Pfitzner Stadium. Potomac is now 7-6 in the second half of the season, having won six of the last nine games. The Nationals took the lead in the bottom of the first when Francisco Soriano scored on a Destin Hood sacrifice fly. Jeff Kobernus then scored on a Justin Bloxom sacrifice fly.
