Kids practiced their reading aloud with Sophie, a registered therapy dog at the Chinn Park Regional Library.

“I’ve already seen improvement in some of the kids’ reading,” said Donna Conti, as she waited for another young child to bring their favorite book to read to Sophie, her therapy dog. Sophie, a friendly English Springer Spaniel certified with Therapy Dogs Inc., has been coming to the Chinn Park Regional Library once a month to allow children between six and 10-years-old to practice reading aloud to her. "Sing Books with Emily" Brings Classic Tunes to Life

Kids gathered around performer Emily Everson to hear stories told through song at the Lake Ridge Neighborhood Library.

The librarians' old adage to "keep quiet, please” was ignored on July 13 at the Lake Ridge Neighborhood Library.  Lifelong vocalist and performer Emily Leatha Everson visited the small outpost for one of Prince William Public Library System’s Amazing Tales special events.
