The Prince William County Police Department has asked the public to come forward with any information they may have.
Prince William County Police are looking for witnesses to the Dec. 31 crash that ended in the death of Officer Chris Yung. Yung was on his way to another traffic accident when a 2001 Dodge Caravan crossed in front of him on Nokesville Road, investigators said. Authorities said that Yung was traveling through a green light, and had his siren and lights on when he was hit. He died at a local hospital. The incident is still under investigation. Thousands attended the funeral service Friday for Officer Chris Yung, who died in the line of duty early this week.
After tearful goodbyes Friday morning, thousands of onlookers watched as Honor Guards marched by the Hylton Memorial Chapel, a bagpiper played "Taps" and United States Marines fired their guns. Then, Prince William County bid a final farewell to an officer who by all accounts, was one of its finest. Countless officers and firefighters from jurisdictions all over Virginia raised their hands in a salute as a dispatch operator's voice sounded over the speakers: "Prince William calling motor 4887. In lieu of attending the funeral service for Officer Chris Yung, the Prince William County Police have asked that the public line the streets for his funeral procession.
The funeral of Prince William County Police Officer Chris Yung, who died in the line of duty earlier this week, is scheduled for Friday at 10 a.m. The service is open to the public, but the Prince William County Police Department asks that the public instead line the roads by the procession to show their support. The procession will begin at the Hylton Memorial Chapel, 14640 Gideon Drive, Woodbridge, after the service ends around noon. The procession route is as follows: Yung's viewing service is open to the public from 6 p.m.-9 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 3, at the Hylton Memorial Chapel.

Officer Chris Yung, who died in a fiery car crash Monday, was driving through a green light when another driver crashed into his motorcycle, Prince William County Police said.
Prince William County Officer Chris Yung was driving through a green light on his motorcycle and had his sirens and lights on when he was fatally struck by another driver Monday afternon, investigators have confirmed. Two off-duty members of the Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department and two other citizens pulled Yung from the fiery crash that ensued at 2:04 p.m. They administered CPR until Prince William County Fire and Rescue personnel were able to transport Yung to a hospital, where he died. Yung was an officer with the department for seven years. He was assigned to the Traffic Unit as a motorcycle officer.
