Man Pleads Guilty to Leading Large Prostitution Ring

Angel Campos Tellez brought more than 100 women, mostly foreign nationals, to engage in prostitution in Woodbridge, Manassas and other areas.

The admitted leader of a prostitution ring pleaded guilty Wednesday to federal charges of transporting women across state lines for prostitution.  Angel Campos Tellez, 27, a citizen of Mexico who was illegally living in Maryland, pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court in Alexandria to transporting individuals to engage in prostitution. Judge Claude Hilton accepted the plea.  Campos Tellez admitted that he was a leader of the operation between 2009 and July 2012, according to the U.S. Attorney's office. The ring brought more than 100 women, most of whom were foreign nationals, from New York, New Jersey, Virginia, Maryland and Washington DC, to engage in prostitution in Manassas, Woodbridge, Virginia Beach, Norfolk and Newport News, as well …

Two Men Charged With Aiding Prostitution in Dumfries

Weo Liao, of New York, and Tai Huu Tien, of Maryland, are each charged with aiding prostitution.

Two men from out-of-state face charges after officers reportedly found them aiding prostitution in Dumfries, Prince William County Police said.  Weo Liao, of Flushing, New York, and Tai Huu Tien, of Silver Spring, Maryland, are each charged with aiding prostitution. Officers responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle on Monday at 3:43 p.m. Police said that they found the vehicle on the 17500 block of Barron Heights Road in Dumfries and determined that prostitution was involved. Police executed a search warrant on the vehicle and subsequently arrested Liao and Tien.  Liao is held at the county jail on a $3,500 secured bond. Tien is held on a $2,000 secured bond. Four Teens Charged With Robbery, Gang Participation

Two of the teens, both female, were also charged with prostitution.

The following information comes from the Prince William County police department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned it does not indicate a conviction.  Four teens, two of them juvenile, have been charged with robbery and gang participation after a 37-year-old man claimed that he was attacked and robbed at knifepoint along Jefferson Davis Highway in Woodbridge, Prince William County police spokesperson Jonathan Perok said.  The victim told police that he was walking when a group of young men and women approached him and allegedly demanded that he give the group money in return for sexual favors from the women in the group.  "The victim refused and attempted to run from the group. Woodbridge Gang Member Sentenced For Aiding in Sex Trafficking

Michael Tavon Jefferies acted as a bodyguard for his gang's prostitution business that trafficked high school girls.

Woodbridge gang member Michael "Loc" Jefferies, 21, was sentenced Friday to 10 years in prison for acting as a bodyguard for his gang's prostitution business that trafficked high school girls, reported Neil MacBride, United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia. Jefferies pled guilty to the sex trafficking of a juvenile on April 12. Jefferies, a member of the Underground Gangster Crips in Fairfax County, helped the gang traffick teens and adults between November of 2011 and January of 2012 by acting as a bodyguard and splitting the proceeds between himself and another member of the UGC. Jefferies funded a Backpage.com advertisement and hotel rooms for one of the juvenile sex workers.  After serving his prison sentence, …

Feds Charge Fairfax Gang with Prostituting High School Girls

Five 'Underground Gangster Crips' members charged in U.S. District Court in Alexandria; details of alleged crimes released by FBI.

Federal authorities charged five alleged members of a dangerous Fairfax County street gang Thursday with running a prostitution ring that recruited high school girls and threatened them with violence if they didn't cooperate. According to an FBI affidavit, the suspects not only threatened the girls with violence, but forced them to take drugs if they refused to participate or didn't perform as directed. The suspects, who are allegedly members of the Underground Gangster Crips, face a maximum penalty of life in prison if convicted.    "Through flattery, coercion and threats of violence, they would lure these young women into prostitution," said Neil H.
