All Virginia State Parks are waiving parking fees for the public on Veteran’s Day, and then military families have free access for the rest of the year.
All 35 Virginia State Parks will have free parking for the public this Friday for Veteran’s Day, including Leesylvania State Park. The free pass extends for all Armed Forces Veterans and active military personnel and their families living in Virginia through the rest of the year. This continues the tradition begun by Virginia Governor Robert McDonnell last year to waive fees on Veteran’s Day. As part the State Parks’ 75th anniversary celebration, Governor McDonnell waived fees for military veterans and active personell and families starting back in May and extended through the end of 2011.
