Police Blotter: Woodbridge-Area Burglaries

A list of recent burglaries in the Woodbridge area.

Woodbridge area residents recently reported the following burglaries to the Prince William County Police Department.  Dec. 22: At 3:22 p.m., police responded to the 4500 block of Eaton Court. The homeowner reported that a burglary occurred between 6:30 p.m. Dec. 19 and 1 p.m. on Dec. 22. No entry was made into the residence and no property was reported missing. However, someone damaged the rear door attempting to get inside. Dec. 22: At 7:02 p.m., police responded to the 16500 block of Nanticoke Way for a burglary that reportedly occurred between 8 a.m. and 7 p.m. There were no signs of forced entry. Entry was likely made through an unsecured door, police said. A laptop, gaming console and accessories were reported missing. The value was …

Handgun, Laptops and iPod Stolen in Recent Woodbridge Burglaries

Houses and vehicles in the Woodbridge area were reportedly burglarized.

Homeowners in the Woodbridge area recently reported the loss of a handgun, jewelry, laptops, iPods, and a camera, Prince William County police spokesperson Jonathan Perok said.  A homeowner in the 2700 block of McGuffey Court reported the loss of jewelry, a laptop, an iPod and a handgun, items with a total value of about $11,600. The homeowner told police that the burglary happened betwee 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. on Nov. 28. The burglar most likely entered the house through a basement door that had been forced open. In an apparently unrelated incident, a homeowner in the 15100 block of Cloverdale Drive reported the loss of jewelry, a camera, two laptops and other items, with a total value of $3,100.
