Woodbridge Teen Advances to Top 20 on 'So You Think You Can Dance'

Nico Greetham has wanted to be on the show since he was very young.

Woodbridge resident Nico Greetham advanced to the Top 20 on "So You Think You Can Dance" this week.

Greetham, who started dancing competitively at the age of 8, has wanted to be on "So You Think You Can Dance" since he was very young.

"He dances from his heart and soul," his mother, Isabella Greetham, said. "He loves what he does, and I think people can see that. His goal is to do the best that he can."

SYTYCD requires its contestants to be at least 18. Greetham turned 18 in March, and at that point only two remaining cities were holding auditions. He auditioned in Memphis and got his ticket to Vegas.

After a week of auditions, in every genre of dance, he made it to the top 33. He's hoping to at least make it to the Top 10, Isabella said. The Top 10 get to tour for a year.

"From now on, it's about voting," Isabella said.

The show airs Tuesday nights at 8 p.m. EST on FOX. Voters can vote by texting, calling, or over Facebook.
