Local Results: Woodbridge District Votes Democrat
Local residents voted Tuesday for governor, lieutenant governor, attorney general, local delegate, and school board races.
Voters in the Woodbridge District of Prince William County went to the polls Tuesday to choose a governor, lieutenant governor, attorney general, local delegates, and a school board member.
Woodbridge District voters largely voted for Democrats in each race.
Terry McAuliffe, a Democrat, won the gubernatorial race against Republican Ken Cuccinelli and Libertarian Robert Sarvis. Ralph Northam, a Democrat, was elected lieutenant governor, beating out Republican E.W. Jackson. In the attorney general race, Republican Mark Obenshain and Democrat Mark Herring are "virtually tied," according to the Washington Post, and a recount is likely.

Del. Luke Torian, a Democrat, won reelection after he ran unopposed in the 52nd District. And Michael Futrell, a Democrat, beat out incumbent Del. Mark Dudenhefer, a Republican, to become the new delegate for the 2nd District.
In the Woodbridge District school board race, newcomer Loree Williams, an Independent, beat out incumbent Steven Keen, also an Independent.
