Police: Armed Burglars Forcibly Enter Woodbridge Home

Police said they do not believe the incident is random.

Police are looking for two suspects who reportedly forcibly entered a Woodbridge home on Richmond Avenue on Nov. 9, Prince William County Police spokesperson Jonathan Perok said. 

Police responded on Nov. 9 at 4:43 a.m.to the 1900 block of Richmond Avenue for the report of a burglary in progress.

"The homeowner reported to police that shortly after midnight, he heard someone knocking at his door. Upon answering the door, the victim was confronted by two men who then forcibly entered the residence," Perok said. "One of the men was armed with a handgun while the other was armed with an electronic control device. The victim was assaulted before the men took an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency and fled the home. Minor injuries were reported. This incident is not believed to be random. The investigation continues."

The suspects are described as two black men between 20 and 25 years old. The first was described as about 6 feet tall, 170 pounds, with a thin build, long black dreadlocks, and brown eyes. He was described as wearing a red and gray jacket and dark blue jeans. The second was described as about 5-foot-6, 150 pounds, with a thin build, short black hair, and brown eyes. The homeowner gave no clothing description.
