The victim was lured to Dumfries Road and Jefferson Davis Highway to buy a cell phone, but was instead held up at gunpoint, Prince William County Police said.
Prince William County Police have identified a suspect in the March robbery of a man who was lured to the Dumfries area in hopes of buying a cell phone.
Darius Dequan Brent, 23, of Rocky Mount Lane in Dumfries, is wanted for armed robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery. He is about 5'5", 175 pounds, black with a light complexion, brown hair and brown eyes. He has tattoos on his right wrist, right and left arms and a mole on his right cheek.
Police identified Brent as a suspect on August 2 in the March 23 robbery of a man who came to Dumfries Road and Jefferson Davis Highway to buy a cell phone. The victim had arranged to meet an unknown man, and when he arrived, the man did not have the phone, police said. Instead, a second man approached and pulled out a handgun. The victim was able to run away before they took anything and call 9-1-1.
