Police: K-9 Caught Suspect After Burglary

The homeowner reported that the suspect broke into the residence through a rear window, according to Prince William County Police.

A Police K-9 caught a man after he broke into an acquaintance's home in Woodbridge early Saturday morning, Prince William County Police said.

Nobel Drew Ali, 28, of Main Street in Triangle, is charged with burglary.

Police responded at 2:35 a.m. to the home on Royal Court, after the homeowner reported that Ali had broken into the residence through a rear window.

"Once inside the residence, the accused forced the victim’s bedroom door open. As officers were arriving at the home, the accused fled on foot," police spokesman Officer Jonathan Perok said in a press release.

The K-9 and handler found Ali on Williamsburg Court and took him into custody. The homeowner was not injured and Ali did not take anything from the home, Perok said.
