Police: Man Dies in Motorcycle Wreck in Woodbridge

The driver of a motorcycle died following a wreck Sunday afternoon in Woodbridge, according to Prince William County Police.

The victim was identified as Miguel Fernando Capela, 49, of Woodbridge.

At 5:29 p.m. Sunday, investigators responded to the 13900 block of Mathews Drive regarding a motorcycle crash.

According to police, Capela's 1999 Kawasaki ZX9R motorcycle was traveling east on Mathews Drive at a high rate of speed.

At one point Capela reportedly lost control of the motorcycle, striking two unoccupied cars. He was transported to an area hospital, where he died.

No other injuries were reported. Alcohol and drug use are not factors in wreck, according to police.
