Police: Stabbing in Queens Gambit Parking Lot in Woodbridge

The victim was flown out for his injuries.

Police have arrested Woodbridge resident Justin Ryan Taylor, 26, and charged him with malicious wounding after they investigated a reported stabbing in the parking lot of Queens Gambit at 12730 Black Forest Lane in Woodbridge. 

Police responded to Queens Gambit today at 2:18 a.m. 

"Officers arrived and located the victim, a 23-year-old man of Woodbridge, suffering from a stab wound to the abdomen," Prince William County Police spokesperson Jonathan Perok said. "The investigation revealed that the victim and an unknown man were involved in a physical altercation in the parking lot. The altercation escalated and travelled through the parking lot towards the roadway before the parties were separated.  Once separated the victim realized he had been stabbed during the fight. The suspect fled the scene prior to police arrival."

The victim was flown out to a hospital. Detectives identified the suspect as the accused and found him shortly after 8 a.m. today. Taylor's court date is unavailable. He is being held without bond.
